It’s the end of the semester and I truly didn’t enjoy blogging. At first when you talk about this idea in the class it was quite interesting and I was looking for it. My first post was okay but gradually second and third it was not worthy and it took me a whole day to think what should I write? Basically I didn’t knew that we should have a kind of theme but I usually write things that were informative whether it was about seasons, our festival in Nepal or SEMO or anything. Later I read out other’s blog and I saw them writing more about what they did entire week and then I also start writing about those things. I feel that my blog was worst among all because it was neither interesting nor attractive. I tried to change things in my blog but it was never done. I am done with this kind of blogging but I would still continue writing in my facebook as a note or status if thats still the part of blog. I would also love to continue writing in my diary about the stuffs going on with me. But I am done with this since you have to look every thing in this like spelling, grammer and etc. Overall it was good experience and feel glad that I have my own blog though whatever is there in my blog. Last time I was searching something in google and it displayed Manisha and I was like hey thats my blog. It was awesome experience about blogging.

Weekly Blog

This week I am really excited because its thanksgiving week and holiday. I was really waiting for this break to come and sleep whole day and do nothing just enjoy, watch movies and eat. But before thanksgiving I have to go through two exams and assignment to submit. I will be free from my both two boring work and boring classes. During break I am thinking to go club with my friends and there is my friend’s birthday party so i am going to have loads of fun. I will cook some delicious food and also try some deserts. I want to do nothing just wanted to have fun and relax. I don’t want to think about any study or assignment. Its the time to disco and relax.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend the class on friday because I was sick and not feeling well. But during the time I sat in home I got a time to review my essay both essay # 4 and revision essay too. I didn’t let waste my time and I read my essay and reviwed it properly. I collected more sources and cite them that I will need it in future. Though I miss my class I utilize my time in home reviewing my essay.

I feel very good about this class and I had done much more improvement as I came to library on daily basis. I am almost done with my essays. I think we should have weekly class in Library to improve our essay. The topic I chose is very lean to teenagers but I tried my best this time but lets see I hope I did well but the class in library was awesome and informative .

The schedule to have a class in library is very informative and useful. I got a chance to research on many things about my topic and basically the class time is the best time for research and completing your assignment. I planned to write on junk foods and I found out diferent research and study about it and also I found out data of different university. I feel lazy to do my assignment on other time and sometime I get busy with my work. So I felt class time is the best time to complete an assignment.

This week was really good for me. I was satisfied with the things going with me. My all the exams went good and got 90 over in them. Though I had more assignments this week I was able to finish them timely. We had Show Me Day on saturday in my work. It was rush about 1500 people but I had fun, the day passed away so fast and easily. I like to work hard and earn money. I went to Mall but I bought nothing because I am really bad in shopping. I can’t even chose dress for myself, my friend chose dress for me. We did some event for extra credit it was called Empty Bowls in Salvation Army. It was so fun and we volunteer there and had loads of fun. Like this I had fun and enjoy my this week.

This week was fine and romantic for me. I spend most of the time with my boyfriend. The weather was really nice and colorful. Today there was a soccer match so I went to see cheerleaders cheering for SEMO. They were really beautiful and enthusiastic. It was fun to watch and everyone was “Go Southeast”. Then I went to Dearmont Teaching Lab for my extra credit. Then I went to work but there was something happening, it was all dark and the reason was there was campus power outage in university. But still we have to serve students so we brought emergency lights and candles. It was dark, students were enjoying eating food in such environment. We had fun serving students in such condition too.

Sick Days

This week was so hectic for me, always work,class andbusy schedule. I couldn’t get the proper rest since the weather was also not in my favor. This busy schedule and bad weather results headache, fever and coughing. I felt like doing nothing and just lying in bed. I was unable to finish any of my assignment and the big assignment was of English, Essay#3. I was just lying in bed, taking medicine and obviously feeling hopeless. I don’t wanted to work either just wanted to sleep amd doing nothing. I miss my parents so much because far from your home and when you feel sick, you always feel alone and dumb. Today also I slept whole day, I was feeling so weak so I call myManager and told him I can’t work today but he insist me to work. However I went to work it was hectic and headache for me. So always be healthy and If you get sick here its really difficult for you because you have to miss your class and work.

In this essay, Jean Kilbourne tries to explain about the effect of advertising in people’s day to day life. It is interested in materialistic values. Advertisement has made us think about just the imaginary life rather than being in a real life. Their life starts from brand of the products and ends with brand. It creates artificial needs to sell unnecessary products. He has intentionally or unintentionally wants to aware about these artificial things. We have forgotten our cultures, values and religion. We are increasingly using brand names for our identities. Thus, advertising is positively or negatively affecting our life. I think this is persuasive agreement.

SEMO

SEMO, Southeast Missouri State University is a university well known for business programs and other field in education. SEMO is a big and well known university. Every semester many students admitted to get the better education in their field. SEMO has a seperate, individual buildings for different majors like Dempster for Business majors, Scully for Hospitality Management and Polytech for Engineering. Students have lots of opportunities and influence to grab in this university. They will have an opportunity to directly consult with their advisor what will be good for them in their field. Many students are confused though they chose their major they don’t know what to do and what not to do? Kent Library is a library with full resources, books, magazines available to help students in their assignments and projects. There is a lab which is open 24 hours for the students convenient. SEMO is a cheap university compare to other university. They also provide additional scholarship for the international students which is the best thing. There is a football team called Redhawks. SEMO has also a health center, sports center known as Recreation Center. It is absolutely free for semo students. We have different kinds of games, fitness center, basketball court and swimming pool as well. It has many facilities for students including shuttle service around the university, which is free as well. Students are serviced by the shuttle til 2:00 am in the morning. They also got a shuttle known as Wings that goes WalMart, Mall And BestBuy every thursday, friday, saturday and sunday. SEMO is a beautiful university with all facilities that students need in their day to day life.
